Guillaume Duvivier makes his France Show debut

Posted on 12 September 2018Food & Drink

Guillaume Duvivier is the chef patron of Le Clos des Capucins in Montreuil sur mer and is delighted to be bringing his cooking to the Flavours of France theatre at The France Show 2019

Having trained at the Ecole Hoteliere in Lille he worked in restaurants all over France including the Michelin starred Le Moulin in Durban-Corbieres before setting up his own restaurant L’Auberge Fleurie in Lille in 2000. In 2008 he moved to the beautiful fortified town of Montreuil since when he and his wife Isabelle have been running their charming Hotel restaurant Le Clos des Capucins.

When asked about his approach to his craft he remains modest about his evident abilities saying “I am just a simple cook who loves above all working with my local suppliers. A chef is the last link in the chain; the conductor of an orchestra who assembles the products. For the vegetables I don’t make specific orders; it’s the earth that provides what it can according the the sun and the season. Each plate should be beautiful, honest but with a touch of madness, according to my mood!”
